Learn to Program Siemens S7-1200/S7-1500 PLCs and SIMATIC Unified Basic Panel HMIs

This will get you started on your PLC programming career path.  Designed for both schools and individuals who wish to learn more than the basic trainers and instruction manuals can teach.

• Siemens S7-1200 PLC includes 14 discrete 24VDC inputs, 10 discrete 24VDC outputs, 2 0-10VDC analog inputs, and 2 4-20mA analog outputs. It uses STEP 7 Basic which is not included. If you need Step 7 Basic then at the TRN-ICP-S71200-HMI-SOFTWARE which is this same trainer with the software included. It is designed to follow along with our Siemens TIA Portal course and also includes 1 year of the SolisPLC Siemens PLC Training subscription.

• The Powerflex 525 AC drive is wired to the 3 phase fan and communicates with the PLC over Ethernet. This drive does not support Profinet but you can use the hardwired lessons in the Industrial Control Wiring and the S7-1200 supports Ethernet/IP.

• SIMATIC Unified Basic Panel HMI uses lessons in the SolisPLC Siemens PLC Training subscription (1 year subscription included)

The trainer requires 120VAC and plugs into your typical wall outlet.

In addition to learning PLC programming and troubleshooting, these lessons will teach you how to wire and diagnose control systems.  This curriculum will help you gain valuable insight into how industrial control panels are wired and operate.  All circuits in these self paced lessons are 24VDC.

    • Push Button - Four push buttons.  A green, yellow, red, and blue momentary push button.  One normally open (NO) contact and one normally closed (NC) contact each.

    • Selector Switch 2 Position - Two 2 position selector switches.  One normally open (NO) contact each.

    • Selector Switch 3 Position - Two 3 position selector switches.  Two normally open (NO) contacts each.

    • Lights - Four lights colored green, yellow, red, and blue.

  • Contactor Relay - Double pole double throw which means it has two sets of contacts with both normally open and normally closed positions.

  • Analog. 5K potentiometer and meter with 0-10VDC + 4-20mA .
