While software tools provide deep configuration options, the G120C hardware supports a physical "Automatic Upload" feature.
This allows you to clone drive settings or maintain a local backup directly at the machine.
Preparation and Formatting
The G120C supports memory cards up to 2 GB. Before use, the card must be formatted to FAT or FAT32. Ensure any existing data is moved, as formatting will erase the card. It is important to only insert or remove the memory card while the drive power is completely off to prevent data corruption.
The Automatic Backup Process
There is no complex menu navigation required for a basic backup. When an empty, compatible SD card is inserted and the drive is powered on, the G120C automatically writes its current parameter set to the card during the boot sequence. This creates a portable "gold disk" of your specific configuration.
Restoring and Cloning Settings
To restore settings to a factory-reset drive or to commission a new drive with identical parameters, simply insert the programmed SD card into the top slot while the power is off. Upon power-up, the drive detects the parameter file and downloads the settings. This process significantly reduces commissioning time for high-volume builds or field replacements.
